Ahead of the new Championship season, there are some exciting young prospects that we'll all be looking forward to watching...

One of the biggest factors that separates the Premier League from the Championship is that Championship clubs abuse their academy's a hell of a lot more, as they generally can't afford to spend big bucks on new players in the transfer window.

And the Championship is full of top academy's, like Fulham, Reading, Blackburn Rovers and Wolves who all have category one academies, the highest possible rating, sitting in good company with top Premier League sides.

Buying young players is also pretty easy from lower league sides as Football League clubs generally struggle to hold onto them, due to the bidding power of top flight clubs, with Championship outfits also often getting in on the action.

With a lot of hype always surrounding youngsters, here is an eleven of Championship youngsters who will be looking to excite next year:

Goalkeeper - Matt Ingram - QPR

QPR are beginning to make a habit of picking up younger players after originally going for older players, seeing them relegated from the Premier League twice in three years.

They're going through a period of rebuilding at the moment, hoping to prepare themselves for Premier League football to a point where they'll actually stay up, and Matt Ingram looks to be a part of that future, signing from Wycombe in late January this year.

He was highly rated in Gloucestershire and was given an opportunity in goal towards the end of the season as they looked towards 2016/17, and could be a huge prospect for the Rangers and Scotland in the future.

Right Back - Dominic Iorfa - Wolves

The England under-21 international is an extremely exciting young player and a solid Championship right back who's impressing scouts from the Premier League, where he's a target for the likes of Everton and Crystal Palace.

He predominantly plays at full back, but also turned turned out in central defence for Wolves last year, adding a touch of versatility to his game.

Iorfa is certainly one to look out for and is one of a long line of young players coming through the ranks at Wolves under Kenny Jackett, who is hoping to build a squad to push back towards the Premier League.

Centre Back - Jake Cooper - Reading

Reading were having a horrible time of it at the back when Jake Cooper was bought in midway through last year, and despite their struggles he looked pretty solid, if not fluffing his lines a few times.

Reading fans have been dazzled with the towering 21-year-old, though a little frustrated by his distinct lack of pace at the back, which has seen him caught out more than once.

Besides that Cooper looks like an excellent prospect for the future at Reading if he can be nurtured correctly, possibly leaving the Royals with a dilemma this summer as Crystal Palace were wowed by him and have struck up an interest.

Centre Back - Kortney Hause - Wolves

Another one off of the Wolves conveyer belt, Hause is another hot prospect at the back for Kenny Jackett and is also very versatile, also able to play at left back, though is mainly considered a centre half.

Along with club teammate Dominic Iorfa, he featured in the England under-21s tournament in Toulon this summer, a tournament that the under-21s won.

Crystal Palace, who are clearly monitoring young Championship players, have been monitoring his performances and could make a move for him this summer.

Left Back - Charlie Taylor - Leeds

The young full back is part of a number of excellent academy products at Leeds at the moment who make up most of the Whites first team, giving them enormous potential for the future.

Taylor is a real fans favourite in Yorkshire, but isn't signing a new deal at Elland Road leading to plenty of interest coming from the Premier League after an excellent campaign in the Championship.

Liverpool, a team in the hunt for a young full back, West Brom and Stoke City are all eyeing up the 22-year-old, who may not be at the club come August.

The England under-21 international was having a very strong season with Brighton, who were marching towards Premier League promotion at the time, before a knee injury struck and ended his season.

He made 16 appearances in 2015/16, scoring three goals and making one assist, leading to attention from Southampton who were reportedly lining up a £7.5 million bid for him ahead of the January window.

He may struggle to find first team action next year with Anthony Knockaert taking up his spot, but his versatility may see him through, as he's able to operate on both flanks.

Central Midfielder - Aaron Tshibola - Reading

Tshibola was extremely unlucky last season after an extremely superb start to the season with Reading, and was a central part of their rise up the table at the beginning of the year.

His luck injuries was extremely poor and after making his comeback from a long spell on the sideline in January in the FA Cup against Walsall, during which he was stretchered off and failed to make another appearance all year.

With heavy interest from the likes of Norwich and Aston Villa, Reading will do well to keep the 21-year-old after this summer, but he's an extremely strong prospect.

Central Midfielder - Lewis Cook - Leeds

He's probably the hottest young prospect on this list and Premier League sides are taking notice, with the likes of Manchester United and Bournemouth both keeping watch over him, though Leeds are hoping to keep him on.

There's no doubt that Cook is a real wonderkid, who undoubtedly has an enormous future ahead of him, and will look to shine once more in the Championship next year.

It's the hattrick! Wolves' future is looking extremely bright with all the young prospects littering their first team, and Graham is one of them, making his breakthrough last season.

He had an impressive spell on loan at Oxford United in League Two, giving him the confidence to come back to Wolves and strut his stuff in the Championship.

He only made eleven appearances but wowed enough to attract interest from Bournemouth and Newcastle after making five assists and scoring one goal, before a sharp injury ended his season.

Striker - Adam Armstrong - Newcastle

The 19-year-old was given a loan spell at Coventry City last summer and had a wonderful season with the Sky Blues, despite their poor finish in League One.

Armstrong scored 20 goals in England's third tier, leading Newcastle fans questioning whether he should be recalled during their struggles in the Premier League, and will be hoping to force his way into Rafa Bentiez's first team next year.

He's looking like a phenomenal prospect for the future and looks ready to make the step up to the second tier.

Striker - Aleksander Mitrovic - Newcastle

The hot-headed 21-year-old joined the Magpies for £13 million from Belgian side Anderlecht, after a 28 goal haul in the league and cup competitions, but failed to fire them to safety.
