West Bromwich Albion have been served a major blow, with Leicester City opting to recall Harvey Barnes following a successful loan spell at the Hawthorns. 

Barnes has been key to West Brom’s good form so far this season, with the 21-year-old scoring nine goals and registering six assists, impressing in the various attacking roles Darren Moore opted to use him.

Today, the club have confirmed that Leicester have recalled Barnes, with the youngster looking set to finish the season as a top-flight player.

The decision comes on the eve of a huge clash against Norwich City, with Albion looking to maintain the pace in the race for automatic promotion this season.

As expected, the bulk of West Brom’s supporters were gutted to see Barnes depart, with many voicing their frustration. Some, on the other hand, were quick to thank the 21-year-old for all he did for the club.
