Celtic are weighing up a potential transfer swoop for Reading defender, Liam Moore according to journalist, Courtney Friday.

The Bhoys will be hoping to make it four successive league titles in a row next season, and they evidently see Moore as a player that can improve their squad.

Moore was in good form for Reading last season, although they struggled to stay afloat in the Championship at times, and narrowly survived with a game to spare.

With Reading battling against FFP regulations, finances are tight at the Madejski Stadium, and new arrivals aren’t likely to come in until the wage bill has been trimmed.

Moore is likely to be one of the highest earners at the club, although they are unlikely to want to sell one of their best players.

But would Moore be a good signing for Celtic?

We discuss….

Jacob Potter:

"This would be a really good signing.

'Moore is a player of real quality, and is by far one of Reading’s best players heading into next season.

"I have my doubts as to whether he’ll move though, as Reading aren’t going to want to let him go on the cheap.

"Celtic should definitely tempt them with an offer though, that’s for sure."

Kealan Hughes:

"This would be a great bit of business for both the club and the player.

"He has proven himself at Championship level, and Celtic would be able to offer him the chance to play for a top club in front of big crowds. They would provide the perfect stepping stone to the Premier League, which is his ultimate ambition.

"Moore may want to hold out until a Premier League club comes in for him. Brighton did last year, but he chose to sign a new deal, but after a disappointing season with Reading, he may be more likely to move on."

George Harbey:

"This would be an unreal signing for Celtic in my view.

"Moore is easily one of the best defenders in the Championship when he's at his best, as shown when he played under Jaap Stam and they reached the Play-Off final.

"It would be strange to see him sign for Celtic, as he could easily play for a top-half Championship team."
