Norwich City are keen on striking a deal for Olympiakos winger Georgios Masouras this summer.

That is according to Greek outlet SDNA, who have reported the Canaries have identified the 25-year-old as a potential addition to Carrow Road ahead of what they hope will be a return to the Premier League.

Masouras has only been at the Greek Super League side since January, but his form has impressed potential suitors, with Daniel Farke lining up a move for the wide man, should the club make it back to the top flight.

And if they manage to earn promotion to England’s elite, an approach will surely be forthcoming for the impressive attacker.

The Greece international, with one cap to his name, and has ten goals in 27 appearances for Olympiakos this term.

The signing of Masouras would add to the lineage of little-known players to move to Norwich and become essential parts of the first team.

With that said, if the move was to come to fruition, would it be a good move for the Canaries?

We put that to a selection of our FLW writers to ask their thoughts on the potential transfer…

Gary Hutchinson

"I don't know a lot about the player, but he doesn't seem to be the sort of target I'd be happy with.

"If I were a Canaries fan, I'd be looking for one or two known names to complement the current crop.

"That's how Wolves have done well, isn't it?"

Jay Taylor

“Considering he is under contract until 2022, it would not be a cheap signing at all.

“But Premier League football talks and the money that comes with it dictates, too.

“Norwich have a track record of signing unknown quantities that turn out to be stars.

“I would have faith in them knowing what they are doing with this potential capture.”

George Dagless

"I won't profess to be some expert on him, but he seems a decent player and Norwich have a keen eye for signings.

"Do they need him? I'd wonder whether they do, but Daniel Farke is a shrewd operator."

Toby Wilding

“An interesting one.

“There is no doubt there is potential there, but it is a big step from playing in the Greek league week in week out to the English league, and others have struggled to make the same transition before.”
