Leeds United and Reading are both considering a loan move for Manchester United outcast James Wilson in January, according to the Sun.

The 21-year-old has found it incredibly hard to break into Jose Mourinho's starting eleven, and it makes sense for the young forward to leave Old Trafford on loan in January.

The writers here at FLW have had their say on Leeds and Reading's pursuit of the Man United man....

This would be an incredible January addition for Leeds.

Christiansen replaced Chris Wood with Pierre-Michel Lasogga over the summer, but it is unlikely that Leeds’ current strikeforce can score the 30 goals the departed New Zealand international scored last season.

Adding a player of Wilson’s quality in January could seriously improve striking options at Elland Road, and help strengthen Christiansen’s hand in the race for the top-six.

Reading have got to beat Leeds, again!

Though the Royals are the side who won the game at Elland Road at the weekend it is still they who need more attacking talent than the Whites.

Leeds have good options going forwards, they just need more steel in defensive phases and Wilson really shouldn't be a priority.

Reading, meanwhile, need a goal-scorer and a punt on Wilson would be a good idea.

Both clubs should be aiming higher.

James Wilson developed a great reputation at Manchester United as a youngster, but he hasn't actually done much a

He struggled to make a real impact at Brighton and had cruel luck by suffering a serious injury at Derby. You would imagine that injury has set him back even further in his development.

A striker is a priority for Leeds and Reading, so they shouldn't be taking a risk on Wilson, which is what he would be.
