Many Reading fans would have been delighted to see youngster Danny Loader given a start in Paul Clement's side for their game against Leeds on Tuesday evening. 

The forward has been earning rave reviews at the Madejski Stadium after impressing at various youth levels for Reading.

Loader has also been part of the England youth setup in recent seasons and was part of the squad that won the under 17 World Cup.

Reading boss, Paul Clement, has seemed reluctant to give Loader a start, but he finally gave in and handed the youngster his first senior start, in what was their toughest test of the season so far.

The Royals lost 1-0 on the night, but Loader certainly impressed on his first start for the club, and he is the subject of the latest FLW Spotlight:

Loader was arguably one of Reading's best attacking threats and he certainly didn't lack confidence at Elland Road in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

The 18-year-old had four shots in total and came close to scoring midway through the second-half, but couldn't connect with his effort cleanly in what proved to be a routine stop for Bailey Peacock-Farrell.

Winning three fouls and having two successful dribbles, his trickery caused Leeds' Barry Douglas all sorts of problems throughout the night.

Making 13 passes in total, with 92% of those passes being successful, Loader has certainly given Clement a selection dilemma heading into the weekend's game against Stoke City.

If the youngster can build on this performance then he has certainly got an exciting future ahead of him, and Reading will be hoping he can guide them to retaining their Championship status.
