Gwion Edwards is officially an Ipswich Town player.

Ipswich confirmed the deal to the delight of the Tractor Boys’ supporters.

The winger has put pen-to-paper on a two year deal with the Championship side after arriving from Peterborough United.

The fee was undisclosed but it is believed to be around £700,000, according to the East Anglian Daily Times.

With 20 per cent of the fee to go to Edwards’ former club Crawley as part of a sell on clause when he joined Peterborough.

The former Wales U21 international is predominately right footed but was deployed on the left of midfielder during his two season’s with Peterborough. 

Edwards was in the final year of his Posh contract and the club have now decided to cash in.

The winger scored seven goals in 31 games last season of the League One side.

And now, Edwards, 25, has joined the Championship.
