Charlton saw their winless run in the Championship extend to nine matches on Tuesday evening as they crashed to a narrow stoppage-time defeat against Huddersfield at The Valley.

Lee Bowyer's side have been hit by a significant injury crisis of late - with the absence of more than 10 first-team players having affected their league form - and they were condemned to their fourth straight defeat by Matthew Daly's late winner last night.

The Addicks have now slipped down to 17th in the Championship schedule as the busy festive period edges closer, and Bowyer is still without a number of his key players including the likes of Jonny Williams and Josh Cullen.

Cullen has been absent from Charlton's midfield during the last four matches after suffering an injury during the 2-2 draw with Cardiff back in November, and the West Ham loanee is set to miss around two more months before his return.

The 23-year-old has been a key player since joining Bowyer's side on loan from the Hammers last season, and he had been striking up a productive midfield partnership with fellow loanee Conor Gallagher this campaign prior to his recent setback.
