Derby County extended their unbeaten run in the Sky Bet Championship last night, despite Bristol City frustrating the Rams and claiming a precious point at the Pride Park Stadium.

Second placed Derby managed to open up a three-point gap to the chasing pack following their goalless draw, and barring a huge goal swing today, will remain in the automatic promotion places over the course of the weekend.

Gary Rowett’s side will have been disappointed not to pick up three points last night, after dominating for large parts, and will feel they should have had a penalty late in the game when Cameron Jerome was felled in the area.

Jerome was caught by Aden Flint, with the new Derby striker falling theatrically, which brought a booking from referee, Darren England, with the official’s view that the striker had gone down too easily.
