Despite finishing in the Sky Bet League Two play-off positions last term, it has turned to be a disaster of a season for Notts County this season.

The Magpies are on the brink of relegation to the National League for the first time in their long, established history, with the club sitting seven points adrift of safety in the fourth tier.

As has been the norm at Meadow Lane over the years, managers have come and gone as if they are on a conveyor belt this season - Kevin Nolan wasn't given the time he arguably deserved, Neal Ardley is struggling to stamp his authority on the club, whilst Harry Kewell's spell at the club was quite simply a disaster throughout.

The Australian did have some good moments at the helm however, picking up three wins as manager of the club which is half of what the club have managed to achieve this season, and the former Liverpool midfielder also gave some talented youngsters a chance to shine as well.

One player who definitely caught the eye under Kewell was Kion Etete - the powerful forward burst onto the first-team scene after scoring regularly for the youth team, and was handed a professional contract after some impressive substitute appearances.

It seems as if the youngster's form hasn't gone unnoticed, with Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur taking the player on trial last week, to which he then scored a brace against West Ham United.

With the Magpies looking ever likely to drop out of the Football League, it would be unfair to keep a talent such as Etete at the club for much longer, and amid interest from one of the biggest clubs in the country, he will surely be praying for a move away in the summer...
