Notts County face a huge derby this weekend with Chesterfield, both teams battling at different ends of the table but equally as eager for points.

Nolan's Notts County have been one of the surprise packages of the season, they struggled last time out but a sensible recruitment policy centre around creative attacking players has paid dividends. the ever green Alan Smith, Shola Ameobi and Jon Stead have played their part too.

They're hunting an automatic promotion spot and nothing would give them greater pleasure than boosting their chances against Jack Lester's struggling side. In the absence of Nottingham Forest, the Spireites are as close to a derby as County are likely to get, bar Mansfield Town.

The Magpies are undefeated in four games now and they'll be favourites to extend that run to five. They might just do it too, if they choose to go with the XI that we feel will best suit the game.

Here's the FLW take on who Kevin Nolan should play against Chesterfield.

Collin may have conceded eight against Swansea, but on the whole he's done well since replacing Ross Fitzsimmons.

He has plenty of League Two experience with Carlisle and should offer a safe pair of hands tomorrow.

Tootle is a tenacious full back comfortable on either flank, although we suspect he'll be better on the right tomorrow.

He played a bulk of his football at Crewe and can also play wing back or further forward, if the need arises.

Dickinson can play centre back as well as left back, but he's preferred on the left at Meadow Lane at present.

He's a former Stoke City player who once commanded a quarter of a million pounds when moving to Watford.

Hall is on loan at County from Brighton and has represented Northern Ireland all the way up to U21 level.

He's only made seven appearances but they've been eye-catching enough to keep him in the squad.

Duffy is another who can operate at centre back or full back, but he's been deployed as the right sided centre back recently.

He's 32-years old and has been around long enough to not let a big derby phase him.

Welshman Hewitt is also versatile, which is seemingly in keeping with most of his team mates.

He's pacey and has recently been deployed in the centre of midfield. No point in breaking up that four-game unbeaten side, is there?

Noble was involved in one of League Two's summer transfer sagas, eventually opting to remain at Forest Green. That choice didn't last long and he wound up at County in January.

He's a cool customer with an eye for creating goals.

Grant is going to be a big player in Nottingham, he's on loan from Forest and has been pulling the strings at County all season.

He can score, he can create and he'll be knocking on Aitor Karanka's door in the summer, wanting his chance.

Terry won the National league with Lincoln last season, but turned down a one-year deal at Sincil Bank to join the Magpies.

He's scored two in two now and offers something a bit different out wide, skill and flair rather than raw pace.

You all remember Stead, right? Big money moves between Huddersfield, Blackburn and Sunderland back in the day made him a household name of sorts.

He's got 13 in all competitions this season for County and leads the line well.

He's usually joined by Shola Ameobi, but we think Nolan should go with Lewis Alessandra, a summer capture from Hartlepool.

He's a player who loves the ball into his feet and on his day, he has the key to unlock any defence.
