Leicester City have recently been promoted to the Premier League and their Thai billionaire owner,  Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, has ambitious plans for the next three years.

He states that within three years he wants the club to break into the top-five of the Premier League and that he is willing to spend the money to do so.

Whilst speaking to reporters in his native Thailand, Srivaddhanaprabha said "It will take a huge amount of money, possibly 10bn Thai Baht (£180m), to get there. That doesn't put us off." He admits that the club won't challenge the top teams immediately upon their return to the Premier League as this season is all about avoiding relegation, but he genuinely thinks that three years is a realistic target to do so.

Nigel Pearson's Leicester side collected 102 points in their title winning Championship season and the manager shares the owner's optimism. After showing off the Championship trophy to supporters in Thailand, he said to reporters that "the important thing is we're going with a belief that we can achieve". "It's important we continue to improve everything about ourselves. So, we can challenge for the top five. But, of course, one step at the time," he added.
