Leeds United's season might be going well this season as they look to win promotion to the top flight, but it's safe to say they aren't exactly getting a helping hand.

That's the conclusion which can be drawm from the amazing statistic what sees today mark a full year since Leeds were last awarded a penalty.

Reported by Leeds Live, the 365 day hiatus from being awarded a spot kick is quite remarkable, given the amount of attacking talent at Marcelo Bielsa's teams disposal and their style of play.

Indeed, the last time the Whites were awarded one was hardly memorable, as Pablo Hernandez missed during a home tie with Reading while Thomas Christiansen was in charge, allowing the Royals to escape Elland Road with a 1-0 win.

Leeds and manager Bielsa will no doubt be hoping to see this stat change, and quickly, with the club not averse to giving penalties away themselves - as seen in last weekend's draw with Brentford.

The Whites return to Championship action next weekend when they take on Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.

Leeds fans, what do you make of this? Surely it has to change at some point? Let us know your thoughts on this in the comments!
