Forest Green Rovers are considered trailblazers of the 'sustainable' football world, and they have released another original concept to their repertoire.

The club, who are "100 per cent vegan", have released a new kit which is made from a "50 percent bamboo mix", which apparently significantly reduce the use of plastic.

The kit has a new partner, PlayerLayer, who have the purpose of developing 100 per cent sustainable high-performance sportswear.

The design of the kit is still green and black, but has a zebra pattern. The home and away kit will remain for two seasons.

Chairman Dale Vince said that they took inspiration from nature to design the new kit. He claimed to be shocked when he discovered that modern sportswear was made from plastic, something he said was wrong for sustainability and performance levels.

He later revealed that the club and PlayerLayer are making movements to create a new football kit, and rather than having a kit made 50 per cent from bamboo, will want one which is made from 100 per cent sustainable material.

The response from fans was mixed, with many Forest fans getting behind the design, calling it "amazing". However, others were more pessimistic, saying "the state of this".

Here are a selection of the responses below...
