Amari Miller has sent a heartwarming message thanking Birmingham City, which hints that his move to Leeds United is edging closer.

The youngster took to Instagram to thank the club, which all confirms his departure from the Championship side, as they prepare for the 2021/22 campaign.

It is believed that Miller will be heading to Elland Road with Leeds United, with Football Insider previously revealing that a fee rising up to £1.5million had been agreed between both clubs.

He didn't make a single appearance for the Birmingham City first-team, and will be hoping he can make his mark with Leeds at the earliest of opportunities.

Lee Bowyer's side finished 18th in the Championship table in the 2020/21 season, and will be eager to build on some much-improved displays in the second half of that campaign.

Leeds finished ninth in the top flight standings this term, and will be hoping they can go from strength to strength heading into the 2021/22 campaign under the watchful eye of Marcelo Bielsa.

Bielsa has previously shown that he's more than willing to give younger players a chance in the Leeds first-team, and Miller will be hoping that he can be the next player to feature in their senior side in the near future.

The Verdict:

It'll be interesting to see how he copes at Leeds United.

Miller has shown his qualities whilst with Birmingham City's academy teams, and he'll be hoping he can make a positive impact whilst at Elland Road.

The Yorkshire-based side have shown that there is a clear pathway through to the first-team, with the likes of Pascal Struijk and Jamie Shackelton forcing their way into Marcelo Bielsa's plans in the senior squad.

It'll be frustrating to see Miller depart this summer for Birmingham City, as the club's supporters never got to see him in the Blues' first-team.
