With Sheffield Wednesday's outstanding financial accounts now finalised, the Owls have started to press on with bringing players in to replace the big-earning departures that happened last month.

Their transfer embargo has been partially lifted and that has allowed Darren Moore to bring in Dennis Adeniran, with Wednesday beating several Championship clubs to his signature, and he's also secured QPR winger Olamide Shadipo for the whole season.

One problem position that needed addressing though was left-back - Moore opted to use a three centre-back with wing-backs system when he arrived at Hillsborough in March and more often than not Adam Reach would play on the left side.

Having been left without anyone to play that role though, Moore has been seeking solutions, with former Chelsea youngster Renedi Masampu on trial and Arsenal man Tolaji Bola linked with a loan switch.

But the first arrival in that position is 22-year-old Jaden Brown, who is a graduate of the Tottenham Hotspur academy but was more recently contracted to Huddersfield Town.

Brown made 28 Championship appearances in two seasons for the Terriers but was released following the expiration of his contract and the Owls have snapped him up.
