In a recent Q&A with West Brom fans on Twitter, midfielder Romaine Sawyers revealed that the best game he went to as a fan of the club was the famous 5-5 with Manchester United which was Sir Alex Ferguson’s last match in charge.
The match at The Hawthorns will live long in the memory for all that were there that day with Ferguson calling it a day for United at the end of the 2012/13 season.
Should the season be resumed?
It was also memorable, too, for Romelu Lukaku once again underlining his vast potential with a superb display up front – one of many that season – and that was something Sawyers referenced in his answer with the supporter.
Indeed, Lukaku evidently saw the tag from the midfielder on social media with him reflecting on his time there and evidently still having affection for the club that helped make him:
Dope memories 💯 https://t.co/UcgxRA0QhI
