It's going to be a very busy summer at Sunderland as the Black Cats gear up for another season in the third tier.

There will be a high turnover of players at the Stadium of Light and that has already started, with Lewis Morgan returning to Celtic after joining on loan from the Glasgow giants in January.

The 22-year-old played 20 times for the Black Cats and scored once, however his overall contribution to the team was impressive.

And, Morgan certainly enjoyed his time on Wearside, evident by the passionate message he sent to the fans last night which wished the club well for the future.

"Would like to thank everyone associated with @SunderlandAFC for the last few months. Gutted that we weren’t able to achieve promotion but I’ve no doubt the club will get back to where it belongs. It was a privilege to represent you, Good luck."

As you would expect, that attracted a lot of replies from the supporters and they certainly appreciated the efforts from Morgan even if they weren't enough to secure a return to the Championship.
