Norwich City have confirmed the departure of striker Cameron Jerome on the club's official website.

Jerome leaves Norwich on a permanent basis, joining Derby County for an undisclosed fee.

The 31-year-old has penned an eighteen month contract with the Rams and joins Gary Rowett for their promotion campaign.

He had fallen out of favour under Daniel Farke and scored just twice in 17 appearances this season.

But the former Birmingham and Stoke man has provided Norwich fans with some memorable moments over the years, including a goal in the play-off final against Middlesbrough.

Norwich fans took to Twitter to share their views on Jerome's departure and the supporters were split on this exit.

Some argued that it was time to get rid of Jerome because he was getting older and losing some form while others held him up as a club legend and were sad to see him leave.

Here are a selection of the best tweets after Norwich officially announced the news that Jerome was set to depart Carrow Road.
