Fulham take on Manchester City this weekend, and the Cottagers will be aiming to progress through in one of England's most prestigious competitions.

A spot in the fifth round is at stake if Fulham can overcome the reigning Premier League champions and current FA Cup holders, with Pep Guardiola's side having torn apart Watford in the final at Wembley last May, winning 6-0.

There will be no pressure on Fulham's shoulders ahead of the game, and manager Scott Parker reiterated that during his press conference as he aims to test his wits against one of England's best tactical minds on Sunday.

Parker said: "The main message from me to my players is go there with big courage and big heart, and a determination.

"If you go to places like the Etihad and play against teams like Man City with no real conviction and don’t try to put your stamp on the game, nine times out of 10 you roll out of there with a loss.

"Let’s go there with courage, let’s have a belief about us, and let’s try and put our stamp on it.

"Of course the challenge ahead is going to be very big, we know that, because they’re a very good side, a world class team."

Sunday's hosts Manchester City have one of the strongest squads in the Premier League, and their quick, high intensity, possessive game will be a different test to Fulham than what other Championship sides have proved over the last few months in the second tier.

The only Citizens absentee on Sunday is expected to be winger Leroy Sane, who has been out with injury since August, and the 24-year-old is targeting a March return for the crucial run-in.

With Manchester City looking like they are out of the Premier League running due to Liverpool's dominance, Guardiola is likely to take the tie against Fulham as seriously as possibly with the majority of his squad fit and ready for action.

Parker said: "They’ve got a lot of games and they’re in a lot of competitions, but whoever Pep decides to use, you’re going to see an international player and a very strong team.

"Nothing changes too much for them, and we realise the quality of player and the challenge ahead of us."

Fulham have also got their injury worries ahead of the game, with Aleksandar Mitrovic looking likely to miss the tie because of an ankle ligament injury sustained a couple of weeks ago.

The other players who are doubts for the Manchester City tie are Aboubakar Kamara, Harrison Reed and Anthony Knockaert, while Maxime Le Marchand continues to sit on the sidelines with a back injury.

Parker knows that he is missing a few players who would be able to change the game for them, and he touched upon that point in his press conference.

The Fulham gaffer said: "We have a few injuries and we’re down to the bones in that sense. We have a considerable amount of injuries so we’ll field a team of fit players.

"We haven’t got much room to change too much around. It’s a big game for us, a different challenge to what we’re used to, and we’re looking forward to it."
