Swansea City will be desperate for a return to winning ways when they welcome a struggling QPR side to the Liberty Stadium this evening.

Steve Cooper's men have lost ground in the play-off race over recent weeks after collecting just one point from their last three league matches, and they enter tonight's encounter following a sloppy 3-2 defeat to Derby over the weekend.

The disappointing result means Swansea are now sitting four points adrift of the play-off zone at ninth place in the Championship table, but they can start closing this gap by sealing a much-needed win over QPR tonight.

It looks like Cooper will have a similar squad at his disposal for this evening's clash, but there is one additional injury concern for the Swans boss following the Derby defeat.

Midfielder George Byers was forced off midway through Saturday's clash after suffering an injury in the first half, and it is now understood that he remains a doubt for the Hoops' visit to the Liberty.

Byers joins fellow midfielder Bersant Celina in the treatment room after the Kosovo international missed the Derby clash, and it now appears that the pair are up against it to make the starting line-up against Mark Warburton's side.

This could see Yan Dhanda gain a starting spot in the side following his excellent goal after replacing Byers on Saturday, while Wayne Routledge could retain his place on the left flank in place of the doubtful Celina.

There are no other fresh injury concerns for Cooper, with the only other unavailable players being Mike van der Hoorn and Jordon Garrick who are nursing longer-term problems.
