Stoke City will be eager to return to winning ways after a disappointing result in midweek, as they prepare to take on Gary Rowett's Millwall tomorrow afternoon.

Nathan Jones' side seemed to be on the up after picking back-to-back wins in the Championship, against high-flying sides Swansea City and Fulham.

But the Potters were somewhat brought back down to Earth after a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in midweek - the Owls maintaining their impressive start to life under Garry Monk.

Tomorrow afternoon, Stoke will be looking to bounce back and get back to winning ways, as they prepare to take on former boss Gary Rowett who takes charge of the Lions for the second time.

After three games in the space of seven days, we bring you the latest team news for Stoke ahead of their trip to The Den...

Jones' assistant, Paul Hart, has revealed that Bruno Martins Indi could be back in action for Stoke this weekend, after enduring a short spell on the sidelines through illness.

The centre-half has made seven appearances in all competitions this season, but missed the trip to Hillsborough due to illness, however he is said to be "feeling better" and could return this weekend.

But elsewhere, three key players are doubtful for the trip to The Den, after sustaining injuries in the defeat to the Owls on Tuesday night.

Cameron Carter-Vickers came off early in the first half due to a knee injury, and was replaced by Liam Lindsay who made a glaring error for Wednesday's goal.

The Tottenham Hotspur loanee is doubtful for this weekend's match, having had eight stitches to his knee.

Peter Etebo was also taken off in the first-half at Hillsborough due to injury, and he is a doubt along with defender Tom Edwards, who has recently signed a new long-term deal at the bet365 Stadium.

The latter, who was taken off in the second period against Garry Monk's side, could well be replaced by Tommy Smith is he is deemed unavailable for the trip to London.

The Verdict

I think the biggest blow for Stoke would be to have Peter Etebo missing from the starting line-up.

The Nigerian international has been excellent alongside Badou N'Diaye and Sam Clucas so far this season, and he adds real energy, power and tenacity to the midfield.

Whilst they have players who can do a job in the absence of Martins Indi, Edwards and Carter-Vickers, they don't really have any players like Etebo.
