Reading will be looking to claim their first league success since New Years' Day when they welcome Championship table-toppers West Brom to the Madejski Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Mark Bowen's men have dropped to 16th in the Championship table following a run of six league matches without a victory, with this form serving as a stark contrast to their four-game winning run over the festive period.

The Royals will certainly have their work cut out if they want to turn around their disappointing form when they come up against West Brom, and Bowen will also have a number of injury problems to contend with when the Baggies come to town.

The Reading boss' fresh injury concerns include full-backs Chris Gunter and Jordan Obita who were both substituted during the 1-1 draw with Hull over the weekend, and they will be monitored in the build-up to Wednesday's clash.

The good news for the Royals is that Andy Yiadom is on the verge of completing his recovery after featuring for the Under 23s against Swansea, and he could now feature in place of the injured Gunter on Wednesday night.

However, there are also several other absentees who may not be seen playing for some time with these including the likes of Matt Miazga, Lucas Joao and Lucas Boye who all may not return until March comes around.

Tom McIntyre will also remain absent for the West Brom clash following the injury he suffered against Cardiff, but it is expected that he will only miss a matter of weeks.
