Swansea City play host to Championship contenders Bournemouth on Tuesday night at the Liberty Stadium, with both sides eyeing a return to the Premier League this season.
Both sides have only lost one of their previous five league games, underlining the strength of their respective starts to the Championship campaign under the guidance of Steve Cooper and Jason Tindall.
The Swans dispatched of Luton Town 2-0 on home turf last weekend, whilst the visitors on Tuesday night saw off Barnsley with a 4-0 thumping, thus sending a warning out to their promotion rivals.
However despite heading into the game in relatively good form, the Swans do have a few injury worries to contend with.
Defender Ryan Bennett appears set to spend some time on the sidelines, with the 30-year-old having missed Saturday’s win over Luton due to a hamstring injury, with Cooper stating the following on the player’s situation to BBC Sport: “Bournemouth I think unlikely, maybe Cardiff as well. Hopefully after that we’ll get him back but we’ll see.
“We are going to get lots of this, every team is.
“It’s inevitable you are going to pick up some niggles. It’s something we are just going to have to accept.”
Whilst Bennett’s fellow defender Marc Guehi also suffered a head injury during Saturday’s hard fought victory, with Cooper yet to be aware of the extent of his player’s condition: “He’s had a bang on the head, he’s getting checked out.
“We don’t know the extent of it. We didn’t want to take any risks with a head injury.”
