Kenny Jackett's Portsmouth side are back at Fratton Park this Saturday afternoon as they take on 17th place Shrewsbury Town in League One.

Pompey are currently in 6th place in the table, five points off the automatic promotion spots. The south coast side will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Coventry City on Tuesday night, ending their nine-game winning streak.

Kenny Jackett's side will take comfort knowing that they are still unbeaten in the league at Fratton Park this season, but Shrewsbury will be a tough test.

QUIZ: Can you name these 11 Portsmouth flops?

The Shropshire side won the last meeting between the teams in August by one goal to nil at the New Meadow, and have an impressive recent record against Pompey.

Portsmouth have won just once in their last eight games against the Shrews.

Ahead of the clash, we provide you with all the latest Portsmouth injury news.

Kenny Jackett has confirmed that midfielder Andy Cannon will once again not be available.

The 23-year-old suffered a glute injury against Sunderland, and has missed the last two games for Portsmouth. Despite returning to training, the Pompey boss said he will not be risked.

“Unless we get some unbelievable news on Friday, we won’t risk him – it’ll more likely be Tuesday or the following weekend," Jackett said.

Oli Hawkins could also return to the matchday squad following a minor head injury.

Other than that, Jackett has no further concerns, and should be able to choose from the same squad he used against Coventry.

Bryn Morris is the only long-term absentee for Portsmouth.
