Portsmouth continue their league schedule this evening as the south coast side make the trip to Sincil Bank to face 12th placed Lincoln City.

It will be Pompey's second game in four days, following on from an impressive 4-2 win over Barnsley last Saturday to reach the last-16 of the FA Cup, where they will meet Arsenal.

As far as League One is concerned, however, Kenny Jackett's side sit in eighth place in the table, and will know that a win could see them climb as high as fourth, depending on results elsewhere.

Pompey won the last meeting between the two sides in October by one goal to nil, and go into the game without a loss against the Imps since March 1980.

Pompey almost have a clean bill of health going into this important game, as Bryn Morris is the only long-term absentee as it stands.

Attacking midfielder Andy Cannon limped off against Barnsley with a groin problem, but should be fit for tonight's fixture after the issue is not as serious as first thought.

Ross McCrorie should also be back in with a chance of returning for Portsmouth this evening, after training with the squad for a full week. The Scot previously spent time on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

Lee Brown has also made a return to first-team training after recovering from an Achilles injury, according to assistant manager Joe Gallen. The defender could make the bench for the trip to Lincolnshire.

Cameron McGeehan should come back into the side after sitting out of the Barnsley win as he was ineligible to face his parent club.
