Nottingham Forest will be desperate to get back to winning ways in the Championship tonight, as they prepare to take on Cardiff City in South Wales.

The Reds' bid for automatic promotion has somewhat halted in recent weeks, after winning only one of their last five Championship matches.

Less than a fortnight ago, Sabri Lamouchi's side battled hard to salvage a late point against West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns, but on Saturday, they were held to a frustrating home draw with QPR.

Now, the pressure is on the Reds to pick up a win in order to make up a six-point gap between themselves and the automatic promotion places, as they prepare to take on Cardiff at South Wales.

It won't be an easy task by any means - Cardiff have really picked up under Neil Harris, and the Bluebirds will still have their sights set on a play-off finish, sitting only six points off sixth place.

With Forest looking to get back to winning ways tonight, we take a look at the Reds' injury news ahead of tonight's clash in South Wales.

Forest have been rocked with some pretty frustrating injury blows heading into tonight's clash with Harris' men, provided by BBC Radio Nottingham on Twitter.

Firstly, they look set to be without Samba Sow after he was absent from the squad that drew with QPR at the weekend, due to a reoccurring knee problem that previously saw him miss up to two months of action.

Sow could be joined by Lewis Grabban on the sidelines, with the striker a doubt due to a knee problem despite lasting the full 90 minutes against QPR.

The 32-year-old is Forest's top goalscorer with 16 strikes to his name, but they could be without their star-man tonight.

This could in turn pave the way for Tyler Walker to start, with Nuno da Costa also doubtful for tonight's clash.

The Cape Verdean forward has made only one appearance for Forest since arriving from Strasbourg in January, but a groin problem means he could be set to wait a little longer.

Finally, Sammy Ameobi, who has featured in 33 of Forest's 34 Championship matches this season, is doubtful through a hip problem.

The 27-year-old was taken off against QPR on the hour mark, and his presence and power on the wing could be a big miss tonight..
