Lincoln City will look to finish the job they started on Wednesday night, as they prepare to face Sunderland in the second leg of their League One play-off semi-final tomorrow afternoon.

The Imps are halfway there in regards to booking a place in the final at Wembley, after coasting to a 2-0 home victory on Wednesday evening.

Second-half goals from Tom Hopper and Brennan Johnson rounded off an excellent team performance from Michael Appleton’s side, giving them a two-goal cushion heading into the second leg.

Lee Johnson will be eager to see a response from his side, and many expect Sunderland to perform a lot better than they did in midweek.

The Imps will be confident heading into the clash at the Stadium of Light in front of 10,000 supporters, though, having boasted the best away record in League One this season.

Lincoln have been given a major injury boost heading into this one, as well. Josef Bursik arrived on an emergency loan this week after Alex Palmer had to miss the first leg due to concussion protocols.

The West Brom loanee is back available for selection tomorrow night, though, and is expected to reclaim his place in the starting line-up.

Adam Jackson, who came off with injury on Wednesday, will be unavailable for selection, as per Lincolnshire Live, however Joe Walsh could be back available after a spell with injury.

Lewis Montsma and TJ Eyoma performed excellently well in the first leg, though, after the former replaced Jackson on 14 minutes.

Predicted Lincoln XI: Palmer; Poole, Montsma, Eyoma, Edun; Bridcutt, Grant, McGrandles; Johnson, Hopper, Rogers.
