Brentford will be aiming to extend their unbeaten league run to five matches when they welcome Championship promotion rivals Nottingham Forest to Griffin Park this evening.

Thomas Frank's side crashed out of the FA Cup over the weekend following their defeat against Premier League outfit Leicester, but the Bees are in a strong run of form in the league which means they could move to third with a win over Forest.

The Brentford boss needed to deal with some injury problems during his side's last outing in the league which saw them draw 0-0 with Huddersfield, with defender Pontus Jansson and midfielder Mathias Jensen both sitting out this clash with injuries.

The duo then failed to make the squad for the FA Cup fourth-round clash with the Foxes over the weekend, but there has not yet been any indication as to whether they will feature in this key promotion clash in West London this evening.

Meanwhile, Frank is also contending with an injury to midfielder Kamohelo Mokotjo after he was forced off at half-time against Leicester, with the midfielder having replaced Jensen in the starting line-up during the previous match.

The fact Brentford have not provided any notable updates regarding these three players' injury problems suggests none of them are serious, but it is not known whether any of them will win the race to feature in tonight's clash.

Brentford's other absentees are all nursing longer-term injuries with Marcus Forss, Sergi Canos and Nikos Karelis all out of action for the foreseeable future.
