Huddersfield Town host Luton Town at the John Smith’s Stadium this afternoon, with Carlos Corberan’s side looking for a return to winning ways.
Corberan’s Terriers are struggling for a little bit of consistency right now in the Championship, with a win over Millwall last weekend not backed up on Tuesday evening as Bristol City came from behind to win in West Yorkshire.
This afternoon, there’s a chance to put that right heading into the November international break.
Huddersfield Town quiz: Are these 12 facts about the Terriers’ history genuine or not?
Luton Town are here and looking to continue their fine start to the Championship season.
We breakdown the Huddersfield team news here…
This is the place to start.
Despite weeks of telling us that Ward was focusing on a return the other side of the international break, he’s got a chance of being involved.
It won’t be 90 minutes, but there might be a place in the squad for the summer signing.
One man that is facing a spell on the sidelines is Pritchard.
The midfielder has an ankle injury and is facing three-four weeks on the sidelines.
It’s unlikely we will see him before December.
Bacuna missed Tuesday night with illness, but Corberan was fully expecting the midfielder to be back available for this weekend’s clash with Luton.
Huddersfield’s late summer signing is continuing to get up to speed.
Corberan said: “He hasn’t made the normal dynamic of a footballer over the last few months and we will take it in steps. We will be patient.”
Another summer signing, Eiting, is in the mix to start this weekend after coming off the bench against Bristol City.
On the Ajax loanee, Corberan said: “Eiting is available and in our minds. He’s still adapting to the competition.”
Elphick is one player that Huddersfield will be without.
The centre-back is a long-term absentee, meaning Naby Sarr, Richard Stearman and Christopher Schindler will continue competing for the centre-back berths.
