Derby County

All the fresh Derby County team news ahead of Reading, what will the Rams’ XI look like tomorrow?

Derby County will be looking to further ease their relegation worries on Monday afternoon, as they prepare to take on Reading at the Madejski Stadium.

Goals from Lee Gregory and Graeme Shinnie saw the Rams return to winning ways at the weekend, having failed to taste victory in their previous seven games.

Wayne Rooney will now be urging his side to pick up another win tomorrow afternoon, as they prepare to travel to play-off chasing Reading in Berkshire.

The Rams cannot afford to rest on their laurels. They sit only eight points clear of the drop, with Coventry and Rotherham both having games in hand.

Will Hughes scored his first Derby goal against which side in 2012?

It remains to be seen what team Wayne Rooney fields, but changes are likely to be made and squad rotations is likely to come into play with it being their second game in a matter of days.

There is almost certainly going to be a change up top, with Martyn Waghorn and Lee Gregory both coming off with hamstring problems on Friday. This could see change to a formation which sees Colin Kazim-Richards lead the line on his own.

If needs be, Derby could recall Jack Stretton from his loan at Stockport, but there is no recall clause in Jack Marriott’s loan deal at Sheffield Wednesday.

Elsewhere, Jordon Ibe is unavailable through a hamstring problem. The winger has made only one appearance for Derby since re-joining the club in the summer, and hasn’t been involved in a matchday squad since Boxing Day.
