Derby County travel to Hull City on Saturday looking to build on their 1-0 win at home against Wigan Athletic in midweek, which saw the Rams pick up a third successive home win in the Championship.

Philip Cocu's side left it late against Wigan, following an average performance which saw them struggle to create many real chances in front of goal, until substitute Chris Martin produced an intelligent lay-off for Graeme Shinnie to fire in a stoppage time winner for the Rams.

However, although Derby's win against Wigan made it three successive wins at home, the Rams have been struggling somewhat on their travels, having won just once on the opening day at Huddersfield and failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their matches away from home in the Championship so far this season.

The Rams will be hopeful of improving that record on Saturday, and will be needing to improve from the 3-0 defeat they suffered at Charlton Athletic in their last away fixture, but a trip to Hull will not be easy with the Tigers full of confidence having secured an impressive 2-1 victory at Nottingham Forest in midweek.

Cocu is likely to face the choice between starting either Martin or Jack Marriott in the lone forward role, after the Dutchman dropped Martin to the bench for the Wigan game with Martyn Waghorn starting up front, before being moved back into his more familiar role in one of the positions behind the striker in the second half - and given Marriott has only just returned from injury Martin should get the nod to start.

The Rams, though, will once again be without defender Richard Keogh, with the centre-back ruled out for the rest of the campaign with a serious knee injury, meaning that Cocu will likely stick with the pairing of Curtis Davies and Matthew Clarke at the heart of Derby's defence.

Jayden Bogle will likely retain his place at right-back, but Cocu could face a difficult choice between selecting either Scott Malone and Max Lowe at left-back, with Lowe offering more of an attacking outlet down the left-hand side of the pitch.

Cocu's side remain without Craig Forsyth, who is continuing to get game time under his belt for the club's U23's as he looks to make a return from the long-term injury he suffered against Aston Villa last year, while midfielder George Evans is also likely to miss out as he continues his recovery from a thigh injury which has ruled him out for the last few weeks, and Tom Huddlestone remains out having picked up an injury in the 2-2 draw at Barnsley.
