Nerves will be setting in around Charlton Athletic ahead of their weekend relegation battle with Huddersfield Town at The John Smith's Stadium.

Wednesday night saw the Addicks beaten 1-0 by Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough, Steven Fletcher heading home the 95th minute winner as Lee Bowyer's side looked to hold on for a point.

It was a result which has left them just two points above the relegation zone and now come up against a Huddersfield side appearing to find a bit of form.

They beat promotion hopefuls Bristol City at The John Smith's in midweek to move level on points with the Addicks so this will no doubt be viewed as a must win game for both sides.

QUIZ: How much can you remember about Charlton’s 2020 so far?

But what injury concerns will Bowyer have to contend with ahead of this one?

With Tom Lockyer now suspended for two games after accumulating his tenth yellow card in midweek, Charlton risk looking rather fragile at the back.

Naby Sarr was absent for their midweek defeat to Sheffield Wednesday with a calf injury but Bowyer is hoping that he will be ready in time for the clash, but also gave no guarantees

Lewis Page of course remains sidelined as he looks to overcome yet another crushing setback, whilst Darren Pratley is also expected to remain sidelined.

Jonny Williams and Albie Morgan played no part on Wednesday but did travel with the squad, so it remains to be seen whether either will be involved on Saturday.

But there is no doubt that things look significantly better than they have done throughout the season.

Prior to the New Year, Charlton had injury issues concerning Lyle Taylor, Macauley Bonne, Jonny Williams, Erhun Oztumer, Josh Cullen and Chuks Aneke all at the same time.

Whilst the latter has not made an appearance in the matchday squad in recent weeks, Bowyer has insisted that he is fit and ready should he be called upon.
