Cardiff City travel to Stoke City tomorrow in what could be an important game for the Bluebirds in the play-off chase.

Neil Harris' side are three points and three places off of breaking into the top six and the squad at The Cardiff City Stadium will be optimistic that they can gain ground on the likes of Preston North End and Bristol City.

The Bluebirds manager will be concerned over a couple of injuries that his squad is carrying ahead of the game at Stoke though.

There has been positive news on central midfielder Joe Ralls as Harris confirmed in his pre-match press conference that the 26-year-old has recovered from his hip injury sustained in January and is now back in contention after coming through training this week.

Ralls spent six weeks on the sideline because of a groin injury during the October and November period before suffering a broken hand in December that kept him out for a few weeks.

Winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing successfully had surgery on a hamstring injury last month and the forward is already back in the gym with a return to training on grass being just a few weeks away.

Striker Isaac Vassell has struggled with injury throughout the entire season so far but is thought to be doing well in his recovery as the Bluebirds attempt to bring him back into the fold slowly.

Defender Matthew Connolly is still on the sidelines having not made an appearance for the Bluebirds since August 2018 because of injuries.
