Some Millwall fans have taken to Twitter to react to Steve Morison's departure from The Den.

Confirmed by the club's website, the 35-year-old forward has made a permanent switch to Shrewsbury Town after initially joining the League One side on a season-long loan deal earlier this summer.

Morison, who has agreed a one-year deal with the Shrews, made 157 appearances for Millwall in what was his third spell with the club.

During this period, the forward fired in 43 goals in all competitions including the winner in the League One play-off final against Bradford City in 2017.

Having made his debut for Shrewsbury last weekend in a 1-0 victory over Portsmouth, Morison will be hoping to get off the mark for his new side when they head to the Stadium MK to face Milton Keynes Dons on Saturday.

The Welsh forward's goal-scoring exploits over the course of his time with the club saw him place fifth on the all-time list having found the back of the net on 92 occasions.

After the club announced the news concerning Morison, some Millwall fans took to Twitter to thank him for his services.
