Charlton Athletic make the long trip to Lancashire to face Preston North End this Saturday, aiming to get back to winning ways after three league games without victory.

Although the Addicks took a point against table-topping West Bromwich Albion last time out, Lee Bowyer's side have one win in their last fifteen league games.

Preston have also dropped down the table significantly in recent weeks after a disappointing sequence of six league games without victory.

That run stretches back to December 14th.

Alex Neil's side now occupy 10th in the Championship table, highlighting difference a couple of poor results makes in the division, as Preston have consistently been in the play-off places up until now.

It will not be an easy test for Charlton, however, who have not won against their Lancashire opponents in over eight years.

Macauley Bonne will definitely miss out this Saturday with a hamstring injury, and he is "not coming back in the next few weeks," according to Lee Bowyer.

Lyle Taylor is also not yet ready to return to the squad, as the 29-year-old continues his recovery from a thigh injury. The striker is reported to be back out running at the training ground.

Chuks Aneke edges closer to full fitness, but the Preston game will come too soon for the forward.

The 26-year-old is likely to feature for Charlton's Under-23's this weekend to build up his match sharpness.

Erhun Oztumer and Josh Cullen also both resumed first-team training this week, and it is likely that both will travel with the squad to Deepdale.

Jonny Williams, Tomer Hemed and Jake Forster-Caskey all should take their places on the bench this Saturday after coming through training without any problems.
