Dean Smith has been in the job at Villa Park just under a week, and it hasn't taken long for his revolution to take place.

Richard O’Kelly has today left Brentford to join up with Smith at Aston Villa as the club’s Assistant Head Coach, resuming his role from the Bees with the club from the Midlands.

John Terry has already been named as part of Smith’s new-look backroom staff at the Championship club, and O’Kelly follows him in to add to the new manager’s coaching staff ahead of his Villa dugout debut this weekend.

Aston Villa host Swansea City this Saturday in what will be Smith’s first home match in charge of his boyhood club.

And things are slowly falling into place for the new man with the most recent appointment to his backroom staff.

There has been a positive fallout from the confirmation of the 61-year-old who has worked with Smith at both Walsall and more recently Brentford.

With that said, here’s how the Aston Villa supporters reacted on Twitter to the news of O’Kelly’s appointment.
