Following their impressive second-half of last season, Aston Villa are readying themselves for life back in the Premier League.

A 2-1 win against Derby County at Wembley saw Dean Smith's side lift the play-off trophy and return to the top-flight at the third time of asking.

With just over a week remaining until the season gets under way, their squad is starting to come together but, according to Football Insider, they are planning one more raid on the Championship.

And, much like the signing of Jota, Smith is planning to raid another local side with West Brom winger Matt Phillips apparently being targeted.

Last season saw the 28-year-old make 30 second-tier appearances, scoring five goals and assisting six more as the Baggies were beaten by Villa in the play-offs.
