‘All for this’, ‘A shrewd signing for us’ – Many Swansea City fans react as club plot transfer move for in-demand star

A number of Swansea City supporters have been reacting to the latest reports from Football Insider that the Swans have entered the race to sign forward Famara Diedhiou.

Diedhiou is a free agent following his departure from Bristol City at the end of his contract at Ashton Gate this summer. The forward is thought to be a player in-demand during the transfer window and it has already been reported by Bristol Live that West Brom are potentially interested in making a move for him as they aim to bolster their attacking options.

It is now being reported by Football Insider that Swansea are interested in bringing in the 28-year-old on a free transfer. That comes with Steve Cooper’s side on the hunt for a proven Championship forward after they have seen Andre Ayew depart the club earlier this summer.

It is also believed that Swansea are going to face competition for Middlesbrough for his signature, with Boro also keen on securing an agreement with Diedhiou to take him to the Riverside.

Quiz: What was the score the last time Swansea City played each of these 25 teams?

1 of 25

Can you remember their last scoreline against each of these opponents?

The 28-year-old was never prolific for Bristol City, but he did weigh in with important goals and reached double figures in all but one of his four seasons with the Robins.

Many Swansea fans have been suggesting that this could be a good addition to the squad for the Swans and feel he would be a useful plan B for Cooper to call upon next term.

Here, we take a look at some of the best reactions on social media…
