Notts County winger Enzio Boldewijn has been linked with a move away from Meadow Lane following their relegation out of the English Football League, with Lincoln City one possible destination according to the Nottingham Post.

The 26-year-old only spent a year with the Magpies after securing a move from Crawley Town. They were relegated out of the league on the final day of the season, ending their stint as the world's oldest Football League club.

Boldewijn played 39 times for them in a turbulent season which saw two managers sacked, the owner put the club up for sale and ultimately, heartbreak.

Boldewijn is now considering his options, but Danny Cowley's League Two Champions are thought to be in the hunt for the wide man.

He began his career with FC Utrecht in his homeland, with a loan move to FC Den Bosch following. Only when he made the permanent switch to Almere City did he begin to flourish, with his form there earning him a move to the UK with Crawley.

He cost Notts a 'six-figure' sum last season, but never looked as effective after picking up an injury in September. That patchy form has got some Lincoln fans a little edgy with the link to their club, although others believe that popular manager Cowley could work his magic on the player.
