Millwall have been without a manager for almost two weeks following Neil Harris' resignation, and they are rumoured to have already compiled a three-man shortlist after beginning management discussions last week.

Caretaker manager Adam Barrett has taken one game in charge so far of the Lions, a 2-1 win over Leeds United two days after the announcement that Harris had stepped down, and it is thought that Barrett is top of the Millwall shortlist.

45-year-old Rowett has been in management since 2012 where he began his career with Burton Albion and after two successful years there, he moved on up to the Championship where he enjoyed a two-year spell with Birmingham City. The manager then went on to both Derby County and Stoke City afterwards.

Current Wycombe Wanderers manager Gareth Ainsworth is rumoured to be the third name on the Millwall shortlist after seven successful years with the Chairboys, taking them up from League Two and then guiding them to their highest league position in their history so far this season.
