‘All day long’ – Many Charlton Athletic fans are hopeful that recent off-field reports come true

Ex-Swansea City chairmen Huw Jenkins is looking to buy Charlton Athletic and bring to an end months of off-field controversy, reports The Sun.
The story of Charlton’s first season back in the second-tier has been one of injuries, and lies. Lies from those who promised to give the club so much, but have so far only held Charlton back.
But now it seems as though the club will be saved by an unlikely source – ex-Swansea City chairman Jenkins.
Can you get 15 out of 15 on this Charlton Athletic quiz? Have a go now!
He helped guide Swansea into the top-flight under Brendan Rodgers but left in 2019, after 17 years in the top seat. The Welshman has been looking for a new project since, and Charlton looks a likely candidate.
Majority shareholder of the club, Tahnoon Nimer, has been promising funds since the day he arrived and yet, Charlton are still waiting to see the first pound of East Street investment’s money.
Here’s how Charlton fans reacted to the news of Jenkins’ interest on the club:
Will take Mr Jenkins all day long

Alan Nixon can get it very wrong when talking about Charlton – Wonder why he's now happy to release the article when he's been so vague in his tweets of late
Hopefully means its close to happening, I'll be happy with Jenkins, relieved it wont be Bassini!!

He did some good things at Swansea so would seem a decent fit, but does he have the funding??? And this journo always gets everything wrong. Any @SwansOfficial fans have an opinion?

Surely not, a owner with actual experience of running a championship football club?
