Here at Football League World, we have been running a number of Twitter debates over recent weeks, as we aim to find out the opinion of our followers.
One of our most recent debates involved Leeds United’s Ezgjan Alioski, and Cardiff City’s Nathanial Mendez-Laing, as we asked Twitter who was the better player.
It is fair to say that both have enjoyed a successful start to the 2017/18 Sky Bet Championship campaign, with their respective clubs currently occupying a place in the automatic promotion places.
Alioski arrived at Elland Road as an unknown quantity, but has impressed for Leeds, scoring once and adding two assists to that total from his seven appearances.
Whilst Alioski’s impact in Yorkshire has been impressive, Mendez-Laing has been extremely influential in Cardiff, helping Neil Warnock’s side top the table after six fixtures.
The former Rochdale man has scored five goals for the Bluebirds across all competitions, as well as winning August’s Player of the Month award.
Alioski and Mendez-Laing will come up against each other later this month when Leeds travel to Cardiff, but for now we can only debate who is the better player.
Here is the best from the Alioski v Mendez-Laing debate…

Mendez-Laing has more goals and assists and plays for the team at the top of the table. How is he not better?
