Norwich are back in the Championship after one season in the Premier League under Alex Neil and will be hoping to make a good effort of returning at the first time of asking.

The Scot has a plethora of talent at his disposal, especially for a team in the Championship, and he must be quietly confident he can get his side near the top two at the minimum.

Norwich will no doubt be looking into the transfer market this summer, with a goalscorer probably at the top of the agenda for the Canaries.

However, there is some young talent in the squad already which is maybe not being used quite as much as it could be, and dropping down a division might give Neil the chance to utilise some of these players.

With this in mind, here are THREE young stars Norwich City could utilise next season...

Josh Murphy

Josh Murphy

One half of the highly rated Murphy twins, Josh spent last season honing his game at the MK Dons where he made over 40 appearances under Karl Robinson.

Despite the club being relegated, Murphy still did enough to impress those watching his progress and he might well fancy his chances of breaking into the first team at Carrow Road now.

He has played before for Norwich, in fact making over 20 appearances, so it will be interesting to see if he can make the step up once again.

Jacob Murphy

Jacob Murphy00

Jacob Murphy is the other half of the twins at Carrow Road along with the aforementioned Josh.

Unlike Josh, Jacob has yet to really have an impact on the first team set up at Carrow Road, but last season he was excellent as Coventry City made an attempt at reaching the League One play offs.

He might well get his chance this term under Alex Neil after last seasons displays and it would be a wise move to get him in the squad and utilise his pace and trickery in wide areas.

Ben Godfrey

Ben Godfrey

The young midfielder was snapped up by Norwich from York City in the January transfer window last season, but has yet to make an appearance for the first team.

Godfrey is a huge talent though, and at 18 has all the time in the world to develop into a top player.

Alex Neil would be wise to get Godfrey some game time and put him on the pitch more often this season, allowing the midfielder to flourish and develop in one of the toughest leagues around.
