1) Russell Martin
This point isn’t so much against the Norwich captain, but more about allowing Ryan Bennett into the team.
Him and Timm Klose were Neil’s first choice pairing in the heart of the defence at the start of the season, where they conceded seven goals in six games, and only lost once.
However, after the victory over Cardiff City, Bennett was dropped to the bench for the Wigan Athletic game, and eventually came on at right-back in four of the five games since.
Neil may well be thinking more to Martin’s leadership skills, but many Norwich fans are of the opinion that Bennett has more to offer them thanks to his abilities.
The 26-year old has had some great games this season, including keeping a clean sheet in the 2-0 win over Everton in the EFL Cup.
If Norwich are going to win promotion straight back to the Premier League, they’ll need a strong centre-back pairing, and their best bet could be putting Bennett and Klose together.
