Fulham won 1-0 at Blackburn Rovers in the Championship yesterday.
Aleksandar Mitrovic scored his 20th goal of the season yesterday to give Fulham the win at Ewood Park – it’s only the second time that Blackburn have lost their in 16 games.
It was a hard-fought win – Blackburn had their chances in the game and after a goalless first-half, it looked as though Scott Parker’s side would have to settle for a point.
But the Serb found a way through, as he so often does, and he continues in his prolific campaign – he’s scored 31 for club and country this season.
The 25-year-old posted this on his Instagram earlier today:
Fulham sit in 3rd-place of the table after the weekend, and go level on points with Leeds United in 2nd after their 2-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest last night.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side have hit some horrid form, and what was an 11-point gap to Fulham in December is now gone.

But Parker’s Fulham have been gradually improving as the season’s progressed and with an impressive host of signings last month, they look set to challenge for an automatic promotion spot, and an immediate return to the Premier League.
Fulham wouldn’t be where they are today without Mitrovic. He’s once again proving to be one of the hottest strikers in the continent and Fulham have done incredibly well to keep him through this season’s transfer windows.
He’ll need help from his teammates though – they can’t purely rely on his goals for the rest of the season.
