Akinfenwa, known as ‘The Beast’, was doing a Q&A on his Twitter account and he was asked by a fan if he would ever join the Championship side.

“Not even if they built a Nandos in my house” replied the 33-year old.

The striker, known for his stocky physique, is a popular figure with Dons’ fans and sees that as a good enough reason to reject any move to their rivals, no matter of the situation.

AFC Wimbledon were formed by fans after ‘The Crazy Gang’ were relocated and renamed MK Dons and their a a considerable rivalry between the club’s supporters as a result.

Karl Robinson’s men were promoted to the Championship and it would give the player the opportunity to test himself in a higher division, Akinfenwa clearly feels such an affinity with his supporters that he would never move to Stadium:MK, even if they built the popular restaurant in his house.
