Aitor Karanka has indicated that Nottingham Forest will be looking to do some loan deals before the end of the month and reckons the Reds are an attractive option for top-flight players.

Whilst the deadline for permanent transfers was at 5pm on Thursday, EFL clubs can still bring in loan players.

For top Championship sides, plenty of Premier League players could become available as top-flight outfits sort their squads.

And, Karanka is still on the lookout for new arrivals, with Sam Byram heavily linked, and insists players will be attracted to Forest because of their performance on TV against West Brom earlier in the week.

"The end of the window could open up opportunities in the Premier League. I think we are also an attractive team to come to," he told the Nottingham Post.

"Following our performance on television on Tuesday, we showed everyone that we can play well and that we have good attacking movement and intensity."

Despite drawing against Albion, the Reds impressed with their attacking football.

The Verdict

Forest are in a comfortable position as they don't desperately need new signings after a very, very busy summer that saw Karanka make major changes to his squad.

Now, it's about finding the right quality if becomes available, however several Championship clubs will be thinking the same thing.

Therefore, the former Boro boss might be right that Forest have the edge because of the ambition they've shown this summer and the style of play they are adopting.
