Nicholas Ioannou has been pictured in Greece ahead of a loan move from Nottingham Forest to Aris Thessaloniki.
Football League World reported yesterday that Ioannou was set to fly to Greece in the next 24 hours to undergo a medical ahead of a loan move to Aris.
Huddersfield also showed an interest in the left-back and were willing to pay most of his wages whilst on loan, but a move to Greece is now in the offing.
Now, Greek media outlet Sfina have provided an image of Ioannou at an airport in Greece, as he looks to complete his move to the Greek club.
Ioannou is set to pen a loan deal until the end of the season, and Aris are set to have an option to buy the 25-year-old at the end of the campaign.
He's made five appearances since joining from APOEl in September, but hasn't featured since October after being sent off at Luton Town.
The Verdict
I think this has all been slightly harsh on Ioannou to be fair.
He looked impressive in Hughton's first few games in charge and showed signs of a good, attacking full-back.
But since he was sent off at Luton Town, Yuri Ribeiro has come in and failed to put a foot wrong.
He needs regular game time at this stage of his career, but if Aris were to buy him at the end of his loan spell, then it would be seen as quite a bizarre arrival in the summer.
