East Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest and Derby County meet at the City Ground on Monday night, with an invaluable three points up for grabs on Trentside.

Both sides, for the first time in many years, are still battling it out for a place in the Sky Bet Championship play-off places, with Frank Lampard's men looking the likelier out of the two to finish in the top six this season.

Forest will be looking to get back to winning ways on Monday - Martin O'Neill is still trying to find his feet as manager of the Reds, but a win here could really kickstart their campaign, and get their bid for promotion back on track after a few disappointing results.

Last time out, Forest were held to a disappointing 0-0 draw at Preston North End, in a game where there very few chances and a lack of creativity.

On Monday, Forest face a Derby team, that like Forest, have plenty of quality of attacking options going forward. But, with talisman Mason Mount out with injury, O'Neill cannot afford to leave one of Forest's most creative players in Joao Carvalho.

Since the departure of Aitor Karanka, Carvalho has found it very difficult to make an impact under O'Neill. The 21-year old is yet to make a start under O'Neill, making just two appearances from off the bench.

Arriving for a club-record fee of £13.2million in the summer, the playmaker hasn't really lived up to expectations, however has still impressed at the City Ground, scoring three goals and producing six assists for the Reds.

Similar to the likes of Jack Grealish at Aston Villa, you just know that the midfielder has the ability to change a game with one killer pass, and he simply has to start for Forest in what is a huge, huge game on Monday night...
